About the Houston Reiki & Energy Bodywork Center in League City

Our location is beautiful. We have lots of green space and the interior of our healing center is both gorgeous and calming. You will feel yourself relax the minute you walk in the door to enjoy your sessions. Once you're finished, you'll float out the door feeling relaxed and at ease.

Energy bodywork is non-invasive and non-intrusive. You remain fully clothed throughout the session. It is beautifully calming and melts your troubles away. As you rest and relax, I simply hold my hands up over your body (or gently place them down) and transmit God's healing love from my hands to you. Everyone is invited to share the love. We work with pets, children, and adults of all ages. Energy work assists all beings in their search for better health.

Reiki and Energy Healing Therapies

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique. The predominate form of reiki practiced throughout the world today, also known as Usui reiki, was created by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. It's a complementary or alternative health approach that uses touch to help shake off pain, sadness, and old grief and to restore the body's harmony within itself. It is but one form of energy therapy. Energy healing itself goes by many names, such as laying of hands, Pranic Healing, Therapeutic Touch, Quantum Healing, Healing Touch and others. It has been practiced in virtually every civilazation known to man and may very well be the oldest form of healing known to humans.

What is Energy Healing (EH)?

Energy healing happens via a subtle biologic energy exerts a therapeutic effect. As mentioned above, practitioners may be trained within a specific tradition or develop their own energy healing style. At the Health Hut, Dr. Lola taps into and combines many different modalities, including Reiki, Quantum Touch, and other energy healing techniques.

Directing energy and intention through our hands, our hearts, or inanimate objects to effect healing self or others is EH. Although the techniques used by the Healer vary widely, the function and intended outcome are the same: clear and balance the energy body of the client to trigger their innate healing response and help thephysical, mental, and emotional states return to a state of wellness and harmony. The process is nothing short of magical and extraordinary. It really does work.

Healers have a much different focus than standard healthcare providers. We believe in the body's innate ability to heal itself when it is brought into balance. If there is disease or illness, energy work accelerates the person's very own healing process. In the end, it is, after all, the body itself that heals you. An energy session helps clear the way. How Reiki and Energy Healing Help Ease Suffering

EH relieves anxiety, alleviates pain, releases old memories, raises the immune system and assists in restoring health to both the body and mind. Sometimes, a client experiences a spontaneous healing wherein the condition they presented with is completely gone afterwards. Being touched by loving hands that share only good intentions and best wishes is healing on every level.

Reiki and Energy Healing in Hospitals

Many hospitals in the USA have begun to incorporate EH into their offerings for patients. There are hospitals in which doctors, nurses, and specially trained energy healers administer energy bodywork along with typical Western medical treatments. Here in Texas, our very own M.D. Anderson Cancer Center offers Reiki and Yoga to cancer patients as a part of an integrative offering, as do a number of other well-known treatment centers.

Energy healing has been subjected to clinical trials to test its effectiveness on patients. I am citing only one here, although there are many studies out there that support energy work as a viable and effective supplement to allopathic treatments. According to a clinical study conducted by Francois Dufresne, MD, et al., wherein trained energy healers provided energy medicine (EM) services to patients:

Practitioners of EM treat the patient in close proximity (often with minimal or no physical contact) as well as at a distance (from a different room or even a different time zone). Studies have shown EM to improve pain, anxiety, wound healing, functional status, blood pressure, immune function, relaxation, well-being, cancer outcomes, fatigue, mood, fibromyalgia, phantom limb pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome. No report was found in the published literature of increased mortality, morbidity,⁸ or serious adverse effects,¹ although some caution in patient selection is advisable.

Furthermore, this same study quantified the benefits reported by patients undergoing Energy Healing and found that 78% of them reported significant healing results:

Thirty-two patients were treated with EM as part of the study. The 24 patients who requested relief from pain had a mean age of 55.5 years (range, 25–87 years). Four (17%) were male and 20 (83%) were female. Eighteen (75%) were inpatients, and 6 (25%) were outpatients or employees. Of the 50 individual reports of pain, 5 (10%) showed no improvement; 4 (8%), slight improvement; 3 (6%), moderate improvement; and 38 (76%), marked improvement.

Reiki and Energy Healing for Pets and Animals

EH works not only people, but on pets and animals as well! I have done many sessions on cats, dogs, squirrels and fish. One of my clients, a 6-year old male yorkie, came to me with terrible pancreatitis, as well as a host of other issues. When I put my hands on this tummy, WOW! Heat starting pouring out into my hands. We did a few more sessions, and I had the owner switch the food he was eating, and within two weeks he was a different dog. He was playful and able to jump around like a young fellow again. I have many success stories I could share, but the long and the short of it all is that EM works for animals, humans, plants, and healing painful events. It can be used to improve almost any condition. We offer our healing services for pets to clients in Houston, League City, Friendswood, Galveston, and all surrounding locations.
