Ayurveda - A Holistic Approach to Good Health
Feeling Good Again Feels Great
Ayurveda is a system of self care based on looking at each person as an individual and understanding how and what they eat, their lifestyle and its effect on their constitution, and all underlying contributors that may be affecting their well-being. No two people are the same and Ayurveda recognizes this important truth and how fundamental it is to maintaining, balancing, and/or restoring wellness.
Ayurveda's origins are ancient and its roots go as far back as 5,000 years ago to the Indian subcontinent. It is based on the idea that when the body/mind becomes imbalanced through improper diet or lifestyle, things begin to go awry. These imbalances must then be addressed and corrected through proper nutrition, exercise, and other changes that bring the system back to a state of harmony.
I became interested in Ayurveda as a result of my study of yoga. I was fascinated by its breadth and scope and its potential for helping clients regain good health. I took some certification courses, and then enrolled in a two-year Ayurveda college to further my education. As part of my coursework, I did a month-long internship at an Ayurveda hospital in India and assisted in ayurvedic treatment of the patients. I graduated Sai Ayurvedic College in 2017 and have been working with clients using this holistic system with amazing results ever since.
I have used Ayurveda to restore my husband's digestive system, to help me overcome serious inflammation issues, and to resolve health concerns of family members. Clients I have worked with have seen very impressive results. Following her individualized protocol, one client saw a big drop in bad cholesterol while raising her good cholesterol and was able to better control her rheumatoid arthritis. Another client saw a signficant uptick in his sperm mobility. A woman undergoing IVF, who had had 8 failed implantations, conceived and carried to term after following her personalized protocol. Another gentleman experienced great relief from his chronic insomnia. Others have dropped weight, improved bone density, improved respiratory conditions, and experienced decreases in depression and anxiety that led to happier mental states.
I invite you to begin your journey to better health today by booking your consultation. Whatever it is you are trying to achieve, Ayurveda can help.
